'Just a quick note to thank you for your excellent guiding last week in what must have been some of the most challenging conditions of this depressing winter. I could not have hoped that we would have enjoyed three days as rewarding as the sopping wet Cioch Nose in big boots, the superb cliffs of Beinn Eighe and that eye-opening assault on Tower Ridge.
