Alpine 4000’s

Many alpinists use the 4000 meter peaks of the alps as their inspirations. They withhold a lifetime of alpinism, adventures and are obtainable objectives for the time served alpinist. Some come very easy and other have a very difficult or logistical approach. Fortunately, all the peaks have a ‘voie normale’ which provides an amenable ascent. There are various list’s that people follow but the UIAA suggest there are 82 peaks to complete or some follow Martin Moran’s 50 4000m peaks of the Alps. If you are interested in competing the list then this is a good place to start. We can tackle the harder summits and train you up to complete some of the the easier ones on your own if you wish. Having climbed a great deal of these peaks, I know good link-ups which mean we can complete many peaks in a trip. The 14 day Alpine Adventure is very popular for those who are wanting to climb many peaks in one holiday.
